The photograph competition run from October to Easter, culminating in a display of all the photos and an announcement of the winners on April 20th. People who came to see the displays were also able to vote for their favourite photograph before the winners were announced. We had 26 entries (58 photos) with an age range from 9 – 90! Everyone was very impressed with the standard of photography as were the two judges, (from Downham Market U3A Photography Group) who made their decisions earlier in the week. For fairness the names of the photographers were withheld from the judges.
The winners were:
11 and under age group: 1st Place – Bethania Carne;
Highly Commended – Alice Johnson.
12 – 17 age group: 1st Place – Lexi – Mai Hallifax;
Highly Commented – Sam Tennant.
18 and over age group: 1st Place – Mandy Edwards;
Highly Commented – Martin Moor.
In the people’s vote the winners were:
