Our Church BBQ held at Hadleigh Lodge, was cancelled last year due to dreadful weather. This year the weather could not have been more perfect. The wind dropped, the sun shone but it wasn’t too hot, we had plenty of goodies on the bric-a-brac stall, lovely prizes on the raffle, a fantastic array of cakes and also strawberry and cream to tempt everyone, and of course wine, beer and soft drinks for everyone. Oh yes – of course lots of burgers and sausages cooked perfectly by Andy!! There was plenty of shade in our garden and most people came and stayed which was great.
On the 6th July five ladies attended our Flower Arranging Workshop led by our very own Vera Osborne. Everyone who attended said how much they had enjoyed it and how relaxing they had found the experience. The finished displays look stunning and can be see on the front page of August’s Village News. Well done Ladies.
